A double dose of good news this morning for you.....

First of all JESSIE JOE PARKER has signed a contract for another year with Whitehaven.Jessie first came to Haven in 2012 making his debut off the bench against Workington on Good Friday, 6th April on the Recre’. He has gone on to make 185 appearances in the chocolate, blue and gold and scored 107 tries. Speaking of his new contract Jessie said, “I’m very happy to sign again, it means a lot to me. I’ve been here since 2012 and Whitehaven is like a second home to me. The Championship will be tough but the boys are preparing well and I think we will go OK.”In a second piece of good news DION AIYE has put pen to paper and signed a two year extension to his current deal, committing himself to the club for a further three years. Dion made his debut for Haven on the 15th February 2015 playing in the second row in a home game against Halifax. I’m really pleased to sign for another two years, I enjoy it here and I’m looking forward to next season. We know it will be tough but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”Coach, Gary Charlton, is happy to have the two PNG internationals on board saying, “The two PNG lads have been great for Whitehaven. They love it here and the fans love them. Jessie lost his way a bit last season with his fitness but he’s come back pre-season a lot fitter and looking good. On his day he is agreAt attacking player to have. Dion has signed on the back of a great season. He gives us a lot of impact coming off the bench and changed the course of a few games. I’m delighted to have Jessie on board again and it’s great news for the club that Dion has committed himself to the club for the next three years.”Well done lads and all the best for next season.
