Dixon commits future
Whitehaven Rugby League are excited to announce the retention of club captain Karl Dixon on a 1 year deal.
Named captain ahead of the 2022 campaign Dixon made 20 appearances scoring five tries with the end of his campaign coming earlier than expected following medical advice on a second concussion of the season.
Head coach Jonty Gorley spoke of retaining his captain saying “To get Karl over the line for another season with Whitehaven is a massive coup. Karl missed a lot of last year through injury etc so he's still got a lot to give to this team.
We are a better team when Karl plays, in whatever position he plays, he's got a winning mentality and you can sense the other lads love playing in the same team as Karl. He has a big part to play in how we go next year.”
