Cumbria Coaching Announcement
The Cumbria Rugby League Coordinating Committee are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Crarey as Head Coach of the Cumbrian team for their upcoming fixture against Jamaica. Paul will be assisted by Barrow’s Steve Rea and Whitehaven’s Head Coach Jonty Gorley, with Des Byrne taking the team manager’s role.
The match against Jamaica promises to be a great night for Cumbrian rugby league with a bumper crowd expected and takes place at Workington’s Derwent Park Stadium, Friday 7th October, Kick Off 7.45pm as part of the preparations for the upcoming World Cup.
Paul was in charge when Cumbria last played in the Garry Purdham Memorial game versus England way back in 2010, is a very proud Cumbrian and will look to put together a formidable side to provide a true test for their international opposition.
The coaching staff will now join the co-ordinating committee with their preparations for the game, with the playing squad announcement to follow.
