Whitehaven Rugby League are delighted to announce the 1 year contract extension of popular half-back Ciaran Walker
Walker joined the club in September 2025 after spending most of the 2025 season on duel registration with Seaton Rangers.
He was named the League One young player of the year back in 2023 having scored 11 tires, 86 goals and 217 points in 20 starts for Workington Town.
His impressive form has only continued for Whitehaven in the 2026 season, where he has racked up 10 tries, 68 goals and 176 points in just 20 starts for Haven.
Ciaran currently holds the active longest streak for goals and points in British Rugby League across the top two devisions. Kicking at least 1 goal and scoring points in his last 16 consecutive games starting back in our 20-0 win over Rochdale on the 1st March.
Speaking on his extension with the club he said
I actually feel at home here, and it's what you can see in my performances. I'm playing with a smile on my face again.
Whilst speaking to our very own Jordan Weir he added
There is positivity around the club, there's nothing negative going on, It's such a good environment to be in.
This extension will see Walker stay at the club until the end of the 2027 season. He joins Brad Brennan and Ben Pearce who have also signed new 1 and 2 year deals respectively.
