Graham signs following successful trial

Following on from yesterday’s signing, Whitehaven RLFC can confirm the signing of powerful forward Guy Graham after a successful trial period.

Another Scottish RU capture, Guy has been capped at under 20’s. Director Ashley Kilpatrick stated “Guy comes with a big rap from rugby Union having been over at Newcastle falcons, charlo and jonty have seen enough of Guy in training while he’s been here the past few weeks to want to keep him until the end of the season and like aaron they feel Guy could have a big future in rugby league. As a club we are delighted to have Guy on board”

Guy comes from a family with rugby pedigree across both codes. The coaching staff having seen enough over the trial period to be impressed with the former Newcastle Falcons forward, to have signed Guy up for the season. On the signing head coach Gary Charlton had the following to say “ Guy has been here a couple of weeks, he’s impressed in training, defends well he’s a big lump of a lad, comes from a rugby family I played with his dad George at Carlisle border raiders he was a Scottish rugby Union international played at Newcastle falcons his brother Gary is at the falcons and has played for Scotland. We like what we’ve seen so far in training, we think he will have a big future in rugby league delighted to have Guy on board until the end of the season. ”

Both of this weeks signings are in contention for the Featherstone game as the club, like so many others, have a number of players currently sidelined with knocks
