Leroy played for the Auckland district team of Otahuhu and Australia's North Queensland Cowboy's prior to signing for Haven in 1997. A cut in the overseas quota for the 2000 season meant him spending a season with Hull KR before returning to the Recreation Ground in 2001. During his season away from the Recre Leroy represented former Haven coach Stan Martin's Cook Island's in the 2000 World Cup. The 2003 season was his most successful season to date when he scored 26 tries in his 30 appearances. Despite the emergence of BARLA international Carl Rudd, Leroy defied the critics to become, along with Steve Trindall the only player to represent Haven in all 32 competitive games in 2006. Along with fellow Kiwi's Aaron Lester and David Fatialofa, Leroy has been granted a well-deserved testimonial for 2007.
2006 playing record: Played 32, 10 tries.
