Now in his tenth season with Haven after being recruited by Stan Martin his former Junior Kiwi coach, who was also coach at his junior club Marist RL in Auckland. It was during a spell in France when playing for Palu, that Dave got the call from his old mentor to join him at the Recreation Ground. A Samoan by birth, Dave was a member of the Junior Kiwi team that inflicted a first ever defeat on the Australian Schoolboys in 1992, and was vice-captain to Henry Paul with the all-conquering Junior Kiwi team that toured Europe in 1993.

Despite incurring career threatening knee and arm injuries in 2001 & 2006, Dave has returned to become one of the standout props in the National League. Along with fellow Kiwi's Leroy Joe and Aaron Lester, Dave will enjoy a well-deserved testimonial during the 2007 season.
