Former Wath Brow amateur who signed for Haven mid way through the 2004 season. Craig represented the BARLA U18 team on their tours of Australia in 2001 and New Zealand in 2003. He has also represented the BARLA U23 side in 2003 and the BARLA open age side that played in Russia in 2004. A prolific scorer in the amateur game, Craig played in the Wath Brow team that that won both the National Conference premier league and the GMB National Cup Final in 2004. As well as being named the National League's young-player-of-the-year in 2004, Craig became the official second fastest man in British Rugby League, when he finished second behind St Helens winger Darren Albert.
Craig is averaging almost a try per game in his professional career, which includes tries in both the 2004 and 2005 NL1 Grand Finals.
