Chris Smith

1st Team Debut: Workington away, 2007
Chris joined the club in 2006 from Kells where he played for the u18s in the National Youth League in 2006. He scored a hat-trick of tries against Widnes St.Maries which made many people sit up and take notice of how he was progressing.
Chris played the full 2006-2007 season for the reserve grade at hooker and made a big impression at the club and won the directors player of the year at the clubs presentation evening.
Chris then made his debut for the 1st team in the Ike Southward memorial game at Derwent Park and with his 3rd touch of the game Chris got his first try for the first team by scoring a wonderful solo try from 20 metres out when he darted over from dummy half.
Big things are expected from Chris and he is on the verge of playing 1st team rugby if he keeps his form up for the reserve grade.
